A big crowd of cars pulled up to Celebrity Pizza Palace, all scrambling for a spot in the parking lot so that they wouldn't have to park across the street. The lucky people who got a spot at the front got out of their cars and looked around for their friends with big smirks on their faces. One car was parked in the middle of the parking lot that was somewhat different than all the rest. It had big spraypainted letters on the side windows and a football on the back window. Everyone crowded around it congradulating the two figures who had just stepped out of it. Both had white blonde hair and great tans, both also on the most popular list of Seagull Point Highschool. Derek laughed as people he didn't know all around him patted him on the back and shook hands with him. One of his arms was around the blonde standing next to him, her smile as wide and white as his. The pair headed towards the Celebrity Pizza door, the football team on their heels and followed by the fans. Derek smiled, amused at the confused waitress who was staring wide eyed as thirty-something highschoolers pulled up a metal chair to the round tables. Erin sat down too with Chrystal across from Lesley and Derek. Coach Murray walked in through the glass doors and sat down with a group of football players on the far side.

Derek glanced over at Lesley, shifting his position in his seat to face her a little more. "Nice game, Hanson," a voice called from behind him and he saw the captain of the basketball team, DJ, sitting over at a table with his best friend and their girlfriends. A hoard of girls sat at a table a few feet away from them, whispers erupting from their circle as they giggled. "Thanks DJ," Derek seemed to tip his head to him, "Heard SP's basketball team won the last game." DJ nodded, his smile still wide as Derek turned back around. "So how did you like your front row seat?" he asked Lesley with a half smile, casually taking her hand in his. He shook out his blonde hair, his brown eyes straying towards hers.

Lesley glanced at Derek, a pleasant smile warming up her face. She had on a school shirt, showing her spirit at the game and now. As a traditonal celebration, anyone invited headed over to the pizza place after any win. This win was better than others though, because her date had practically won the game and gained the respect of several fans. Tossing her perfectly straightned blonde hair behind her, Lesley looked towards DJ as he talked with Derek. She didn't really pay as much attention to basketball as she did football, but she did go to a few games a season but that didn't compare to the every game of football she had been too since she had to watch her ex play. But now, she could watch Derek and happily enjoy the game.
Derek turned back to her, and Lesley answered his question. "It was awesome. Great place for watching my favorite football star." She said as her hand easily slid in his comfotably. Another few people came up to congratulate Derek and say hi to her, but now pretty much everyone that was going to be here had arrived. "You know, for a newbie you gained popularity pretty fast." Lesley smiled, showing that she was just kidding. How lucky was she to have snatched him up? All the new boys worth looking at usually got taken pretty quickly, because everyone here had known each other forever. Feeling her phone vibrate in her pocket, she didn't bother to answer it.

( Missed Lacey)
Someone had turned off the slow, jazzy snore that had been playing since the place had opened that morning, and replaced it with the towns local Hit List channel. The newest JZ and Britney singles started to pour out of all the speakers, surrounding the pizza stop with a easy, yet energizing, gyrating beat.
" Let's dance," Lacey cooed, blinking her long, perfectly mascaraed eyes in the direction of nearest football player. She'd been sitting on the opposite side of the booth from Derek and Lesely, who seemed intent on nobody other than themselves. So it was that she found herself tugging Luke Hoche, terribly buff, Hollister model material, and dumb as dirt, on to the newly constructed dance floor. Upon arriving, the energetic highschoolers had moved chairs and entire tables to create the small but effective dance floor that many had already taken advantage of.
It felt weird, almost uncomfortable, dancing up against the clumsy, block head. Gabe had refused to attend the game, claiming that football was just an 'idiotic way for insecure, little boys, who hadn't yet come to accept their true sexuality, to roll around in the dirt with other little boys of the same sad condition.' Sometimes dating a troubled artist who found every opportunity to splirt out words she'd never heard and never would understand became quite a bummer. Lacey knew the real reason he hadn't gone was because a couple of guys on the football team had cornered him after practice, slurring out some very unkind words. Now when your co-Queen Bee and your boyfriend is showing every sign of preloser syndrome, there's only one thing do.
" So, Luke, you were great tonight."
Smiling with all the emotion she could muster, Lacey was satisfied to see the desired effect of a dazed and surprised Luke. No doubt he hadn't been expecting this. His night had just gotten so much better. This might even beat the time coach had praised him on the record her had broken in lifting weights.
" Well , you know, it was all for you, Lace," His breath was obviously laced with the drinks he had downed early. Things the coach had decided not to remember, classifying the drunkenness of his players only as celebratory excitement.
Luke's hands, that had previously been resting on Lacey's hips, 'slipped' down to the point of full on groping.
Lacey's reaction was swift and fierce. Her hand slapped Luke's cheek with a force he couldn't have ever expected from a girl.
" Think again, Luke."
Disgruntle now, as well as depressed, the platinum blond made her way back to the table. Fixing her short black skirt, she swatted away a sophomore who had mistakenly stolen her seat. Lucky for the girl Lace wasn't in the mood for her usual tyrannical act. Hoots of encouragement came from the bar, where a completely happy Luke continued to chug his fourth beer.
A waitress carried a tray of multicolored shots to the 'popular' table. The tray wasn't on the table for more than a few seconds before Lacey had knocked back two, trying to wash away the disgusting taste of loneliness out of her mouth.

Lesley was easily captivated by Derek, who sat next to her in the small booth and held her hand. She definitely liked him, but now she was really starting to think seriously about her feelings. Her adoration bordered on nauseting to everyone else, and she was constantly being teased by her dear sister and family about the new boy, but strangely she could care less. He felt right to her, and yet she wasn't even quite sure what "right" was supposed to feel like. She was only fifteen. As much as the student body of the highschool believed she was the flirting goddess, she actually didn't have as much experience with boys as she put on. It wasn't hard to fake though, it wasn't like guys were hard to figure out anyway. They usually only wanted one thing, and if they didn't you had to question their sexualty. So to think that she just might be really falling for the boy beside her scared Lesley slightly, because all her popularity and money couldn't promise he wouldn't hurt her.
Her twin was up in a flash, and Lesley barely took notice. She knew what her sister was doing. Off to go find another boy to battle the look and feeling of being alone. Lesley sighed slightly, before turning back to Derek. She should be more worried about her now single sister, but her guy's brown eyes distracted her quickly. She was half expecting him to ask her to dance, but he hadn't yet, which was worrying her a little. Any other boy would be tripping over his feet to be able to dance with her, and the one boy here that she cared about hadn't asked.
Her small cocerns were cut off by the return of Lacey, who the couple had just seen dancing with Luke moments ago. Lesley took the time to look across the room and glare coldly at the idiot, who took a step back and let the fear show on his face when he caught her eyes. Nobody messed with her sister. They'd get him back soon, even if it was just convincing everyone that he was betting with his friends he was going to get someone knocked up by the end of the month. (Not that they'd done that before with another unfortunate male)
"Easy, Lace." Lesley watched as her sister drank two shots, and then took the third glass out of her twin's hand and passed it to a nearby table, where someone immediately snatched it. "You know that dancing thing you do? Yeah, you've got that coming up, hun." Lacey might hate her right now for cutting off her supply of drinks, but she'd thank her later. A few weeks ago both of them had been left with nasty hangovers after a raging party, and Lacey had mandatory dance practice the next morning. It had not been a good day for either of them. Lacey got up and went, and then spent the entire class puking. Lesley experienced the joy of hearing her twin's rather loud complaints when she got home as she tried to deal with her own pounding headache.
"We can leave if you want, Lacey." That was the best she could offer, that the girls ditch and go wrapping or go to a movie or something. Maybe if they got away from their friends to whom both girls couldn't appear lonely, Lacey would feel a little better. She sent an apologetic look to Derek for the idea of leaving him, even if her sister said no.
