On a cloudy day, death lurks... Empty
PostSubject: On a cloudy day, death lurks...   On a cloudy day, death lurks... Icon_minitimeWed Jul 15, 2009 1:41 pm

Even on cloudy days when the sun refused to shine, the people of Seagull Point still flocked to the white sands of their local beach. And that was just perfect for the vampires who lived here. "Perfect," a man murmured to the girl at his side in his car as he parked his Dodge charger, looking down the sandy slope to all of the adolescent teenagers that would all suffice him well. He glanced at Grace momentarily before stepping out of his car. Now even Loren himself knew that he wasn't dressed for the beach, but he wouldn't be here long, and he had no intentions of enjoying the crystal-like blue water beyond the shore. No, he had other intentions. He quickly scanned the area and found a group of teenage girls sitting the closest to the woods they could get, gossiping amongst themselves. Loren grinned to himself, but hid it quickly to begin his act. He changed direction so that he would be walking past the group and into the woods. Naturally, they all stared. All but one blonde girl turned away quickly out of embarrassment. There was always one more adventurous one, wasn't there? Loren took that as his moment and smiled at her. Her reaction nearly made him fall over laughing, but he kept up his act, gave her a sly wink, and entered the treeline. His trap was set, now all he needed was for the prey to follow through.

Walking a little ways into the forested area, he found a large oak tree and leaned against it. He could hear as well as scent her following. What a good lost puppy she was. The scent was almost unbearable to him now since he hadn't hunted in a few good days, that he had to restrain himself from pouncing too early. That would cause her to scream and the humans would more than likely hear it. Now he didn't want that. He didn't have to wait long until the blonde made her apperance. She looked a little confused, but he knew what she wanted, and for just a moment he would give it to her. He grinned and pushed himself off of the massive tree he'd been leaning on to take a few steps closer to her. Predictably, the blonde followed suit and went as far as to close the distance between the two. How brave she was. Too bad it would eventually end in her death. Before he could do anything, the human stood to her full height and kissed him. It took all of his power not to retch. Kissing a human is unnatral and nasty, but it would get him what he came here for. He could feel her small arms on his chest, finding their way up to his shoulders. He placed both of his hands on either shoulder and moved his lips down her jawline to her neck. She allowed it, obviously enjoying this. That's when the pain started. Loren had replaced his lips with his teeth and was at work piercing the skin there to get to her vein. To stop her from screaming and alerting someone, he moved one hand to her head, his hand was big enough to both smother her cries for help and keep her still, while the other remained on her shoulder.

He felt the girl's fingers digging into his jacket as he drank from her, vainly trying to push away her attacker. She had no chance against a three hundred year old vampire. Tightening his grip on her shoulder and face, the blood seeped through his jaws. The feeling of it coursing through him; the tast of it in his mouth; and the power he felt from it was amazing. Unfortunately it didn't last as long as he'd wished it would. The girls arms were no longer pushing against his chest, and she was no longer struggling against him. Draining the very last blood that he could, Loren let her body crumble in his arms as he stood, his eyes closed, letting the full effects of human blood enter his body, sending shockwaves of pleasure throughout his entire being. Finally, his dark red eyes opened, no longer burdened with the bruises that were present there not long ago. He turned, the body still in his arms, to the tree he had been leaning on while he waited for his victim to arrive. He set her body down against the massive sturdy trunk of it gently to where it looked like she was sitting down, and straightened himself again into a standing position, looking down on the drained body that he'd just fed from to keep himself alive.

(that was... Intense. << Was really in the writing mood xD forgive me)

( Im kind of unsure what to do...HElp TWI)
Grace had reluctantly gotton out of the car, as it parked close to the beginning of the white, sandy beach. She had no idea what to expect. Her slip ups had been randomly done; no planning put into them. Most of the humans had been drunk, so it was easy to devour them. But Loren wasn't going after intoxicated humans.
He glanced at her once before stepping out of the car. Qestionable about wether she was susposed to follow, Grace watched his form retreat into the slim forest that edged the beach. After a while, she gave up on logic and followed his exact path. Instead of going on to the beach, she decided to stay in the dense foliage, not wanting to draw too much attention.
Her new path led her right behind a group of girls who were talking in hushed voices. All there eyes were pointed in the same direction. Loren had obviously taken one from this group and was probably drinking her now. On top of everything, Grace was actually interested in seeing Loren hunt. It had been a long time since her last slip up. Suddenly she had a worry; a thought that rang loud in clear in her head. Sure she had said that she would only watch, but, when it came right down to it, would she?
" Oh my gawd, I can't beleive Kaitlen got so lucky? He was so hot," One of the girls whined. Grace almost smiled. The human girl had no idea how unlucky her friend had been.
Spotting Loren a little way ahead, Grace decided to stay back and watch. It might help her self control. At first, she wondered where the human girl was. But then she came into sight. The blonde girl looked a little nervous, but didn't hesitate to throw herself at Loren. He led her on, and then, slowly, his mouth slid down to her throat. ' This is it,' Grace thought to herself, hands clenched on the tree she was hiding behind.
She saw the blonde's eyes widen as she felt the vampire's razor sharp teeth cut into her neck. A straight line of blood crawled down her neck. It only took moments before Grace was able yto scent it. And when it came it was like nothing she had ever felt. The scent hit her like a straight ounch to the throut, except it burned like hell. Her fingers dug deep into the bark of the tree, making small holes. It took all her strength to keep her from throwing herself between Loren and the girl and finish the blonde off herself.
It seemed like ages before Grace trusted herself to look up. Thanfully, Loren had drained the girl; she was set up agaisnt a tree, pale as snow.
Stepping out from behind the tree, Grace glided over to where Loren stood, looking at the drained girl.
" That was.....enlightening," Grace murmured. The scent of blood on him was so painful. Why had she agreed to this? It was like torture for vampires, having to watch somthing you want to so bad just dissapear. Looking up, she noticed a change in Loren. It seemed utterly impossible, but he seemed even more perfect. There was somthing else too. His lips were still red from the blood.
Without think, Grace brought a slim, perfect finger up to Loren's face. With a gentle movement, she ran it across his perfect, soft bottom lip. Bringing it back down, shhe examined the small amount of blood on her finger. The scent was so sweet becuase it was blood, but it had a slight hint of Loren's. In a flash, she had sucked her finger dry of the blood.
" Sorry, couldn't help myself," Grace said, in mock innocence. Her mind was racing with the goodness of that one drop of blood. She felt enlivened, and it scared her.

(Just say that she couldn't take it anymore and she had to hunt one or something xDD I dunno)

If he hadn't've known who was behind him, Loren was sure that he'd have flown at the creature who dared near a vampire who had just finished draining the life of a human, taking every last drop of blood from their bodies for his own use. If it had been anyone else, his fingers would have been digging into their neck simply from impulse while they were being pinned against a tree. But it was Grace. The vegiatrian who had wanted to come with him on a hunt. And so for that reason, he mentally slapped himself awake from the buzz that the human blood had done to him, and looked down on her. He grinned at her assumption of it. "It was so much more than that," he murmured quietly. "You can't imagine how strong I feel now. How complete and whole that one life made me feel. Who knew that humans were capable of delivering such pleasure." He inhaled deeply, thuroughly enjoying the lasting taste and scent of the blood that the blonde female had supplied him with just moments before, and the shockwaves that were even now still going strong throughout his body. He let a smile show when Grace immediately took the last of the blood from his lips, and the reaction she had when she tasted it. She'd mentioned before that she had never hunted a human before; now would be the perfect opportunity. She'd scented, witnessed, and tasted the hunt and blood of a human. Though he knew he couldn't force her into it, nor did he really want it that badly, it didn't mean he couldn't try. "Tasty, isn't it?" he said quietly, still smiling down at her.

PostSubject: Re: On a cloudy day, death lurks...   On a cloudy day, death lurks... Icon_minitimeWed Jul 15, 2009 9:11 pm

“You have no idea,” Grace replied. The blood, to her, was like a blind man seeing the sun, a cripple running a marathon, a deaf person hearing a beautiful symphony. And to think that if this is how she felt after one measly drop, what would she feel after drinking a whole human.
Grace had seen the eagerness in Loren’s gaze. He wanted her to want more; a lot more. And the sad part was, she couldn’t see herself just walking away from this. It had just tasted so natural, and she was going against herself by drinking animal blood.
“I need more,” Grace blurted out in a frantic voice. Now the only question was how was she going to do that? Having no experience, she was completely in the dark. Searching her mind, she noted that maybe some of the same tactics she used to hunt animals could be mixed with what she had seen from Loren. It was all about the seduction with humans; throw the bait in, and then draw it in for the kill. Having a plan was great, but it just made what she was about to do seem suddenly real. Of course Grace would hate herself later for what she was about to do. But she was still riding on the high that the blood had given her. It wasn’t giving her room to freak out…yet.
Grace’s hands were swiping away low tree branches before she knew it. Her eyes scanned the long stretch of sandy beach when she emerged. It seemed she had never noticed how warm, and, well, tasty the humans all looked. ‘There he is,’ Grace thought, having spotted the perfect target. The somewhat muscular boy stood, surf board under his arm, in front of the frothing waves. He looked like he was about to go out, so Grace quickly sidled up to him, letting her arm brush up against his. It was almost comical how fast he snapped to attention, and then the surprise at having the prettiest girl he had ever seen standing right next to him.
“It’s beautiful out there,” Grace commented on the roiling waves.
“Yes, you are,” The boy spat out. His eyes had been raking her figure, but seemed to have gotten stuck on her chest.
Grace wanted to laugh and roll her eyes at the same time; this was just too fun. But instead she took his arm and led him into the dark depths of the forest. She stopped only when she was completely sure they were deep enough. Taking what she had seen that day and what she knew about human boys, Grace turned to see her still utterly fixated on her chest. To break his gaze, she went in with a test kiss, experimenting with her self control. The whole time she had been with the boy, the ache had been painful, but still controllable. Kissing amplified that a pain a million times; it was like kissing an open flame. And at the same time, it was extremely disgusting. With Brad and Loren, she had felt their passion. This one just oozed eagerness for more.
The boy’s shaky hands had traveled from her back to her butt in no time at all; how vulgar some humans tended to be. Having had it with them boy, Grace pushed him off sharply, maybe a little too sharply because the force had sent the boy smashing into a tree. Not caring if the boy was still conscious, Grace on his still form. Locating the spot where most of the blood flowed, she sank her teeth deep into the neck. It was so soft and the then the blood came. Nothing had prepared herself for this, the pure pleasure that flashed through her entire body. It warmed her from head to toe, reminding her of the times she and her blood related sister had sat next to a pitiful fire in the street. It had been small but the warmth it sent to the cold that had enveloped the girls was glorious.
All too soon, Grace noticed the change in blood flow; it was slowly running out. Detaching herself from the human’s neck, her eyes stayed closed, soaking in the buzz of pleasure. After a moment though her eyes opened, and were met with a truly gruesome sight. The boy had been mangled, ripped, and torn. And yet his face still showed the emotion of terror. She looked down, trying to avert her eyes from the nightmare, and found an even more terrifying scene. Her whole body was covered in blood. The white skirt she had been wearing had practically turned red. Her shaky hands were dotted with blood. ‘I’m a monster,’ she thought, her buzz having been killed by the bloody pictures.
Grace had to get out of that place, but all she could bring her self to do was crawl backwards and that only got her a few feet before she hit a tree. Wide eyed, and not knowing what do next, Grace just sat there.
“Loren,” She choked out. She could only hope he would find her.

Completely confused as to what Grace meant by she wanted more, Loren followed her to the edge of the forest. The girl he had just drained still had friends out here and if they saw him without her they might become suspicious. Instead, he stayed hidden behind a tree as he watched Grace walk right up to a surfer boy who looked like he didn't have very much trouble with the ladies himself. One of his eyebrows raised. Surely she didn't mean that she needed more blood? Hadn't she just told him moments before that she was only going to watch? Perhaps the scent and sight of it all had been too much for her to take. She needed more. He watched with curiosity as she mimiked his movements, luring the boy into the secretly private depths of the forest. No one seemed to notice the boy's departure, but Loren was totally intrigued. So he followed, making sure he hid himself from the beach goers not that far from him, until he found Grace with her lips locked with the boy's. And sure enough the disgusting human's hands were all over her. That alone sent such a spark through Loren's body that he nearly came barreling out of the forest straight for him. Grace was his, and like hell he was going to let a human compete with himself. But how foolish he was, thinking that that was Grace's intentions. He watched with appreciation as she found his neck. The poor fool's emotions twisted from bliss to shock to horror as he realized what was happening. Loren broke his cover, coming just into view behind Grace. Loren's eyes were dead serious and said death in their red depths as the boy's hazel eyes rolled back in his head and lost conciousness. Almost immediately, Grace released her hold from the boy and the human tumbled to the ground. With his face pointing upward, the look of terror was still plain on his face even in death. Loren's dark gaze swept from the dead body to Grace's trembling figure. She was covered in blood. Not the cleanest human drinker, but he was proud of her. the look of utter shock on her face and horror when she saw what she had done seemed to take over her whole being and she scrambled backward only to be stopped by a tree not too far away from himself. She looked horrible. As soon as she spoke his name, Loren closed the distance and picked her up easily, cradling her in his arms. He already knew what she wanted; she didn't have to say a word. Hunting a human after all this time must had shocked her entirely. She would want a new set of clothes to get rid of the blood stained ones. "My house is closer than yours," he said as he ran toward his car, easily dodging each tree without even thinking about it. "You can change into a set of my clothes until you get home, and take a shower if you'd like." He touched her nose with his for only a moment and gave her a small smile before turning his attention to getting her into his car. "It's alright, love. It's fine. We're vampires; that's what we're here for." Giving her a small kiss on her forehead, he closed her door and was in the driver's seat at the blink of an eye.

( i'll let you post at his home next. I can't remember where he lived lol )
Grace didn't have to wait long before she felt the prescence of Loren. She noted he had probably been watching the entire time. Silently, she hoped that she hadn't dissapointed him in her hunting.
She welcomed the saftey that Loren's arms promised, as he gently picked her up from the ground. This is eactly what she needed, somthing solid to hold on to. Grace felt her fingers curl into his soft shirt, her face pressed into his chest. Her eyes were closed, but the boys face still seemed to stare up at her. It was hard not to cringe with such a image in her head.
"My house is closer than yours," she heard Loren say, his sweet, deep voice making her shaking subside somewhat. The air was whipping past them to fast to be walking, so she relized that he must be running to the car. That was good, she wanted to be rid of this place, fast.
"You can change into a set of my clothes until you get home, and take a shower if you'd like." He explained in a gentle voice. A shower sounded nice to her. Her whole body felt like it was saturated in blood; she felt unclean. The warm water would help with the outside filth, but it would be a while before she felt clean inside. ' His life was not mine to take,' Grace thought feircely to herself. She was not God, who decided who died and who didn't.
Suddenly, she felt the slight motion of Loren's feet stop altogether. Looking up for the first time, she saw that they had arrived at the car. She had been planning on jumping out of his arms, but was suprised when he didn't let go. He opened her door and gently laid her in the seat. For such a intimidating vampire, he could be so gentle and sweet. ' That's why I love him,' Grace thought with a sigh.
"It's alright, love. It's fine. We're vampires; that's what we're here for." Loren said, his breath carresing her face. At the moment, Grace totally disagreed with that statement, but she was silenced by the pleasure she felt when Loren kissed her forehead. Her hands half raised to bring his reassuring lips down to her's, when he suddenly dissapeared only to appear in the drivers seat. Her hands fell back to her lap where she stared at them for a while. The car thrummed to life and slid out of the small space. Not noticing which way they were headed, Grace sat in silence, occasionly glancing at the god that sat next to her.
